On November 2011, The Way Church was planted in the remarkable city of Denham Springs. We love our city and desperately desire to see it reached for the sake of Jesus.
We cannot hope to contribute to seeing The Great Commission accomplished through us unless we first serve our city and serve it well.
The Way Church diligently pursues being the hands and feet of Christ through many annual planned outreach events.
Below you can see how she has served the Livingston Parish area in the past, and you can see upcoming outreach events on our calendar.
Past Outreach Events
Whether handing out free Thanksgiving turkeys during our “Butterball Initiative,” distributing free school supplies during our annual “Supplied,” campaign, or our Easter Services at North Park, The Way Church remains committed to serving Denham Springs, Walker, and Livingston Parish.
Providing Thanksgiving turkeys to those less fortunate.
Every year, through the generosity of our church members and our community partners, we are fortunate to distribute turkeys to the Denham Springs area.
It’s a blessing to us to be able to provide a small part of a holiday meal to a family who otherwise wouldn’t have one.
Each year, The Way Church hosts, “Booth Fest,” where our house churches decorate individual booths for Halloween, load up on candy, and gather in the sanctuary for kids to “trick or treat” from booth to booth
We’ve seen kids come by the hundreds, fully dressed in Halloween costumes and holding out bags or plastic pumpkins for treats.
The adults get to socialize and be creative while seeing all the cute costumes.
A family-friendly Halloween alternative.
Providing community children with supplies necessary for education.
Prior to each school year, we invite local familes to join us at our church to receive donated school supplies.
